Question
I am taxi driver, and sometimes I am asked by passengers to take them to bars and pubs. Is it permissible for me to take them there?
Answer
It is not permissible for you to take them. Rather it is forbidden, because this is cooperating upon sin and transgression, and Allaah says,
(تَعْتَدُوا۟ ۘ وَتَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ ۚ)
“… and cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.”
(Al-Maa’idah 2)
