: Ibn Al-Qayyim (may Allaah’s Mercy be upon him) has some very beautiful and valuable words in this regard, as he states in his book Al-Jawaab Al-Kaafy li-man Sa’ala ‘ani-D-Dawaa’i-Sh-Shaafy, ‘The sufficient reply for a person who asks about remedying medicine.’ He said: “Strengthening of belief is done by looking at the Signs of Allaah that are recited in the Qur'aan and seen His great creation.”
(إِنَّ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱخْتِلَـٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢ لِّأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ)
“Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are Signs for those of understanding.” (Aaly ‘Imraan 190)
Constantly looking at the Signs of Allaah, whether they are the aayahs of the Qur'aan or those Signs we see around us, will no doubt increase the belief of a person and fortify it, and we seek Allaah’s help in doing so.
